Hope 2 Others co-founders Karen and Rick, along with a small group of volunteers, are leaving the States this week in waves and embarking upon another exciting journey to Tanzania. Karen recently received word that the 40 ft container shipped earlier this spring has officially made it! Yay!!! We ask for prayer during this time as the container is still being held up in customs due to an abrupt need for additional government approval and documentation. In addition to the 40 ft container, each individual in the group travels with a 50 lb suitcase filled with supplies to distribute to midwives, nursing students, orphans, and widows.
Pictured is the first wave of volunteers early in the morning of July 2nd at both the bus station awaiting a ride to O’hare airport and then at the gate, anxiously awaiting their departure. We thank the Lord that the first group made it to Tanzania safe and sound and the second wave of volunteers will be following, headed out early tomorrow morning, with the final wave heading out on the morning of the 8th. We will be in Tanzania most of the month of July so stay tuned for updates about our day to day happenings.
We CAN’T wait to see all the ways that the Lord is going to move! Please be in prayer with us and for us!
Mungu akubariki 🙂
